DoFo is operated by Pecon Computech Private Limited, a company incorporated under the laws of India (CIN: U72300WB1996PTC079927). By using DoFo, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this Privacy Policy.
2. Information We Collect
We collect information that you provide directly to us, including:
Account Information: Email address, name, and password when you create an account.
Relationship Data: Information about your contacts, interactions, and notes that you choose to store in DoFo.
Google Account Data: When you connect your Google account, we access your calendar events and email data to provide our services.
Voice Data: Audio recordings when you use voice input features, which are processed to extract text and then deleted.
3. Categories of Data Collected
For transparency with App Store and Play Store privacy disclosures, the following categories of data may be collected and linked to your identity:
Contact info: Email address, name.
User content: Notes, contacts you add, interaction logs.
Identifiers: Account ID, OAuth tokens (when you connect Google).
Usage data: Product interactions, feature usage.
Diagnostics: Crash logs, performance data.
We do not collect: precise location, financial info, health and fitness data, sensitive info, contacts from your device address book (unless you explicitly import them), browsing history, search history, or advertising data.

We use the information we collect to:
Provide, maintain, and improve our services
Help you manage your relationships and stay connected with people who matter to you
Display your calendar events and enable email functionality
Generate AI-powered suggestions and insights about your relationships
Send you important updates about your account
5. Google API Services
DoFo's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
5.1 Google OAuth Scopes We Request
When you connect your Google account, DoFo requests the following permissions:
(a) Google Calendar (calendar scope)
What we access: Your calendar event titles, dates, times, and attendee names.
How we use it: To display recent meetings in DoFo and ask "Who did you meet?" so you can log interactions with contacts.
What we store: Only event titles, dates, and attendee names for events you choose to log.
What we do NOT do: We do not modify, delete, or create calendar events.
(b) Gmail Read Access (gmail.readonly scope)
What we access: Email subject lines, sender names, and message previews.
How we use it: To display your recent emails when you ask "read my emails" or "show emails from [contact]" in the AI chat.
What we store: We do NOT store email content. Emails are fetched in real-time and displayed only during your session.
What we do NOT do: We do not archive, export, or permanently save your email content.
(c) Gmail Send Access (gmail.send scope)
What we access: Ability to send emails on your behalf.
How we use it: Only when you explicitly request to send an email through DoFo's AI chat (e.g., "send email to John saying...").
What we store: We may log that an email was sent (recipient and timestamp) for your activity history.
What we do NOT do: We never send emails automatically or without your explicit instruction.
(d) Gmail Modify Access (gmail.modify scope)
What we access: Ability to mark emails as read.
How we use it: To mark emails as read when you view them through DoFo.
What we store: Nothing related to email modifications.
What we do NOT do: We do not delete emails, move them to folders, or modify their content.
(e) User Profile (userinfo.email, userinfo.profile scopes)
What we access: Your Google account email address and display name.
How we use it: To identify your connected Google account in DoFo settings.
What we store: Your Google email address to link your OAuth tokens to your DoFo account.
5.2 Limited Use Disclosure
DoFo's use of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
Specifically:
We only use Google data to provide and improve DoFo's relationship management features.
We do NOT sell your Google data to third parties.
We do NOT use your Google data for advertising or marketing purposes.
We do NOT transfer your Google data to third parties except as necessary to provide our service (e.g., displaying data in your browser).
We do NOT use your Google data to train machine learning or AI models.
Human access to your Google data is limited to security/abuse investigations, legal compliance, or with your explicit consent.
6. AI and Data Processing
DoFo uses artificial intelligence services to:
Generate relationship suggestions and insights
Process natural language input and voice commands
Research publicly available information about your contacts
Your data may be processed by our AI service providers (Google Gemini, OpenAI) solely for the purpose of providing DoFo's features. We do not use your data to train AI models.
7. Analytics and Diagnostic Data
DoFo uses limited analytics and crash reporting tools to understand how the app is used and to identify and fix problems. These tools may collect:
App version, device model, operating system version, and locale
Crash logs and performance metrics
Anonymous usage patterns (e.g., which features are used and how often)
This data is used solely to operate and improve DoFo. We do not sell it, use it for advertising, or combine it with your relationship data for purposes other than service delivery.
8. Data Security
We implement appropriate security measures to protect your personal information, including:
Encryption of data in transit and at rest
Secure session management
Regular security reviews and updates
Your data is stored securely and access is restricted to authorized personnel only.
9. International Data Transfers
DoFo is operated from India. By using DoFo, you understand that your information may be transferred to, processed, and stored in India and in any other country where we, our service providers, or our cloud infrastructure providers operate. Where required by applicable law, we put appropriate safeguards in place — such as Standard Contractual Clauses — for cross-border transfers.
10. Data Retention and Deletion
We retain your information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide you services.
10.1 How to Delete Your Data
You have full control over your data:
Disconnect Google Account: Go to Settings → Google Accounts → Disconnect. This immediately revokes DoFo's access to your Google Calendar and Gmail data. OAuth tokens are deleted from our system.
Delete Your DoFo Account: Contact us at support@dofo.club to request complete account deletion. We will delete all your data within 30 days.
We can no longer access your Google Calendar or Gmail.
Previously logged interactions (from calendar events you chose to save) remain in your DoFo account unless you delete them.
No cached email content is retained (emails are never stored).

You have the right to:
Access and download your data
Correct inaccurate information
Delete your account and data
Disconnect your Google account at any time
Opt out of certain data processing activities

We do not knowingly sell or share the personal information of any consumer.

Google Gemini: For AI-powered features and natural language processing.
OpenAI Whisper: For voice transcription.

13. Children's Privacy
DoFo is not directed to children under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 18. If we learn that we have collected personal information from a child under 18 without verified parental consent, we will delete it. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact support@dofo.club.
